On behalf of Royal Salute, the exceptionally crafted and aged Scotch whisky, the Food+Drink team hosted global luxury lifestyle media guests at an exclusive event for a first official look of an all-new limited edition lighter blend, the Royal Salute 21 Year Old Polo Edition.

Delicate in flavour, the limited edition expression had been carefully developed to celebrate the perfect synergy between Royal Salute as the ‘King of Whiskies’ and polo as the ‘Sport of Kings’. Fittingly held at The Hurlingham Club – the establishment where polo was first played in the UK – guests were given the opportunity to get hands on with the fundamental skills of polo, hosted by world class polo player and Royal Salute Ambassador Malcolm Borwick.

This was followed by an exclusive tasting of the whisky, led by Director of Blending of Blending Sandy Hyslop, who took guests through the unique flavor profile of the luxury blend. The afternoon then lead into a three course luncheon, with a menu bespoke to the Polo Edition product using fresh British produce to best to best complement the flavours and notes of the Polo Edition whisky.

Live social coverage from the influential guests flooded the key campaign hashtag across social channels, with the launch activity amplified further through multiple media interviews with key Royal Salute spokespeople Sandy Hyslop and Malcolm Borwick.
