July 14, 2021, New York – Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K), one of the world’s leading public relations firms, has appointed Doug Ruchefsky as Senior Vice President within H+K’s Consumer Markets practice. Ruchefsky will be responsible for growing H+K’s Retail + Leisure client roster within the Consumer Markets practice, as the firm continues its accelerated U.S. market growth.
Ruchefsky brings over a decade of experience in providing consumer-centric marketing communications, reputation management, and media relations programs for some of the world’s biggest brands. Reporting to Laura Morgan, Executive Vice President and U.S. Head of Consumer Markets, he will leverage his expertise in consumer goods, tourism, and hospitality to help H+K’s Retail + Leisure clients successfully reach their audiences and build reputation through integrated communications solutions.
Leading integrated agency teams for more than 12 years, Ruchefsky has supported innovative, strategic programming across categories including food & beverage, travel & tourism, retail, and consumer goods. Prior to joining H+K, he was Vice President at DeVries Global, where he developed a track record for building culturally connected programs that drove sales for iconic brands including IHOP, S.Pellegrino and Zippo. He also led award-winning work for international tourism boards and luxury hotels, including the Tourism Authority of Thailand and The St. Regis Deer Valley.
Ruchefsky’s appointment is the latest as H+K continues its accelerated growth agenda, following the selection of Laura Morgan as U.S. Head of Consumer Markets and the addition of numerous Retail +Leisure clients.
