Molly Flatt joined us at the H+K London office as part of H+K HER (Helping Executives Rise), a series of speakers events featuring leading women in communications and business, sharing their learnings and successes.
Molly is a journalist who specialises in the impact of technology on publishing, culture and identity. She is Associate Editor for FutureBook, Digital Editor for PHOENIX magazine and Associate Editor for the Memo, and writes regularly for publications such as the BBC and the Guardian.
She discussed her debut novel The Charmed Life of Alex Moore, an adventure set between the startups of Old Street and the wilds of Orkney, which was begun on the six-month Faber Academy ‘Writing a Novel’ course.
H+K’s Vikki Chowney, Chief Content Strategist, had a fireside chat with her about everything from changing careers to working in a male-heavy industry, being a young working mother, a hugely successful journalist and now, the creative process in producing a book.
Since its introduction in 2015, HER has welcomed a host of inspirational business women to H+K including Sky News Sunrise Presenter Sarah-Jane Mee and Olympic Gold medallists Kate and Helen Richardson-Walsh.
